What are clans in Destiny 2?
Clans in Destiny 2 are a group of players who join together to play and progress through the content offered by Bungie. A clan also has an associated Clan Roster, which is the list of all the members in that Clan.
How do I join a clan in Destiny?
Currently, Destiny 2 does not have an in-game method of joining or creating clans. Players are instead able to join a clan by directly contacting the leader of that clan outside of the game (through Bungie.net, Reddit, etc) and ask them for an invitation into their clan.
Why should I join a clan in Destiny?
Joining a clan offers numerous benefits to Destiny players.

How to find the right clan for me?
Joining a clan can be a daunting task, as there are hundreds of clans for Destiny 2 players. There is no universal method to find the right clan that matches your interests, but below are some tips you should follow when looking for a clan:
- Introspect: Think about why you would want to join a clan. What do you expect to gain from being part of a clan? Are you looking for a laid back clan or one that always raids? Think about what you are looking for, and know exactly what type of player you are before applying to join clans.
- Research: Once you have decided what kind of clan would best fit your needs, start looking for these clans by searching the #Recruitment posts on Bungie.net, Reddit or other social media platforms that you use. If you have a specific criteria for your looking for a clan, be as specific as possible in your search terms to capture results that match your interests.
- Be proactive: Once you have found a few clans that you might be interested in, contact the clan leader and introduce yourself. Let them know why you would be a good fit for their clan and what you could bring to the table. Follow up by sending out applications to all of the clans that seem like they might be a good fit. Don't expect that just because you find a few good options that one will magically come knocking at your door.
- Know what you want: If a clan seems like a good fit, but you don't meet all of their requirements, think about whether or not it would be worth joining anyways. Be honest with yourself and make sure that the time they will be investing in recruiting you as a member is worth the effort for them. If a clan leader is recruiting someone in your skill level, but you think you will be much better after a few weeks or months of playing, it might not be worth joining.
